My Ipod says drive unreadable. What can I do?
When the MP4 player says drive unreadable, that means the information on the storage chip has become corrupt and it will have to be reformatted and your files will have to be recopied to the MP4 Player.
To do this, simply plug the MP4 player into the USB port on your computer. The computer recognizes it as an external USB drive and assigns it a drive letter (usually a letter right after the CD or DVD Rom drives).
Open the MY Computer icon, then right click on the drive letter of the MP4 player, and choose Format.
Once the format dialog box opens up, leave all of the options as they are and click on format. It should only take a few seconds. Once it is complete, you can close the format box.
Now that it has been reformated you will have to recopy all of your files back onto the unit.
